Search palette

The global search shortcut is intentionally suppressed in a couple of modal contexts.

Ctrl+K does nothing

The shortcut doesn’t open the global search.

The palette is suppressed while the onboarding wizard or the lock screen owns the window. Finish onboarding or unlock the app first.
